TEX-21 is a strong supporter of enhanced multi-modal transportation across Texas and positions its public and private entity members at the forefront of major state, national, and international transportation issues. Roughly eight years ago, a handful of public officials from across the State of Texas met informally to seek out ways to improve Texas transportation. From this beginning, TEX-21 was created and today our organization includes representatives governing more than 60 percent of the State’s population. Even as other states have taken notice and sought to follow our lead, TEX-21 has remained an innovator with regard to transportation public policy.
