Dallas Area Rapid Transit is spearheading local awareness efforts on human trafficking during January's National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month.

It is estimated that more than 20 million men, women and children around the world are victims of human trafficking. Executives from DART, Children at Risk, Jonathan's Place, City Year Dallas, Greyhound and Mosaic Family Services were on-hand to reaffirm their commitment to raising public awareness on how to recognize and report potential trafficking at an event on Tuesday, January 29, at the DART Lake Ray Hubbard Transit Center.
